Twenty-two climbers participated in this year’s Tree Climbing Championship held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the majestic Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown, NY. Joined by volunteers, judges, technicians, vendors and families, climbers demonstrated their skill, speed and precision in the Work Climb, Aerial Rescue, Throwline, Belayed Speed Climb and Ascent Climb with the top three finishers from New York State competing in the Masters Challenge.

After a full day of competition, John Rothrock of Anjoe Tree Service, Albany; Brendan Doddof Bartlett Tree Experts, Southampton and Sebastian Slizowski of Greenpoint Tree Service, Carmel finished as the overall top three performers and went on to compete in the Masters Challenge. After the competition, John Rothrock came out the winner. Congratulations John!
